Chapter Ten

I got up off the bed and started to put my clothes back on. I wanted to shower badly but I wanted to get away from Cameron just as bad. Not because I didn’t love him or didn’t want to be with him. Definitely not because the sex wasn’t great because it was impeccable; but because Cameron needed to realize that in order for us to move forward with our relationship he had major changes to make. He needed to understand that he could persuade me with great sex. Did it help? Yes. Did it lighten my mood? Absolutely! However, it didn’t mend out relationship and until he fully comprehended that our relationship status would remain what it is. We are Cairo’s parents, nothing more, nothing less. I was standing there in my jeans and bra when Cameron finally decided to speak.

“You just going to leave?” He asked with hurt behind his eyes.

Through the time of us being together I learned him like I knew myself. I knew when he was hurt. I knew when he was sad, frustrated, tired, hungry shit I even knew when he needed to take a shit. He was my love there was no denying that but I just wanted more. I needed more; Cairo had to see me getting more from him so he would know exactly how to treat his woman when the time came.

“Yes, I told you I didn’t want to go there Cameron. We can’t get pass our problems by covering them up with the sheets. We really need to work at being a couple again.” I said slipping my shirt back over my head.

I felt my hair and knew it was disheveled and all over the place. I didn’t my best by patting it down and slipping my arms into my coat.

“I’ll call you when I get home.” I said before blowing him a kiss and heading out the room.

When I got downstairs, I walked to the living room to say goodbye to everyone and to kiss my son. All eyes were on me I just knew they knew what was going on upstairs between me and Cameron. I played it off though. I gave out hugs before kissing Cairo and heading out to my truck. In the safety of my car I let out a sigh. I missed Cameron so much. More than I was willingly to admit. I wanted to jump out the car and run right back into his arms but I had to put my foot down. A guy would only do to a female what she allowed, and the way Cameron acted toward me when he got out of his coma wasn’t going to cut it. He had to come correct if he wanted us to be the family we are supposed to be. Soon or later he would get it right. I wasn’t going to stress, at that time things were going fine. I wanted to enjoy it before the next storm hit. I pushed the button my key fob and the car came to life.
